There are numerous things we are to remember. This morning we are going to discuss remembering the Lord in the days of our youth. Ecclesiastes 11:9-12:1
1) Some Believe They Will Live Forever!
a. Sin is self-destructive - Proverbs 1: 10-19
1. Reckless living can destroy the young!
2. Submit to authority, not rebel Romans 13: 1-2; 1 Peter 2: 13-14
3. Your chances improve when you avoid sin Proverbs 3: 1-2; 1 Timothy 4:8
4. Ephesians 6: 1-3 - more encouragement
b. How many people have you known who died young?
1. James 4: 14-17- life is a vapor
2. Judgment Day is coming! 2 Thessalonians 1: 7-9; 2 Peter 3:7; 9-11
2) A Better Life!
a. Less to be worried about Proverbs 3: 21-26
b. Avoid fornication!
1. Body is for the Lord - 1 Corinthians 6: 13-20
2. Sin against your own body - 1 Corinthians 6:18
3. We are the temple of God - 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 - bought with a price
c. Compare the foolish and wise child
1. Which one remembers
2. Who listens to advice
3. Who has the pleasant memories?
4. Who has to try to undo the past?
3) Remember Who Your Creator Is
a. Jeremiah 10:23
b. God knows you better than you know yourself
c. Won't forget in you old age

2. Timothy's example - 2 Timothy 1:5
4) You'll Be An Example To Others And Show Your Wisdom
a. Like Timothy - 1 Timothy 4: 12-16
b. 2 Kings 5:3 - making the best of the situation
c. By growing spiritually - Galatians 5: 22-24
d. By obeying the gospel - Galatians 3: 26-27
Conclusion: Even the young will be at the judgment. So many who want to repent at the 11th hour die at 10:30. Remember the Lord in the days of your youth!
