1. NOAH, AN OLD TESTAMENT PREACHER
A. Genesis 6: 5-6 God was determined to destroy every living thing from the face of the earth, but then He saw Noah
B. Genesis 6:8 God gave Noah the first boat-building job
2. ABRAHAM
A. God gave a man named Abram a moving job. Genesis 12:1
B. Abram had faith in God and went where he was directed to go Genesis 12:4
C. God made sure Abram was paid well Genesis 13:2
3 MOSES
A. God gave Moses the job of leading His people. At first Moses was not sure he was right for the job. Exodus 3:11
B. But Moes was right for the job
4. GIDEON
A. God chose Gideon to smite the Midianites. Gideon asked God for a sign to show he was the right man for the job and received it. Judges 6:5
5 NEHEMIAH
A. God chose Nehemiah to rebuild the wall of Jerusalem Nehemiah 2:20
6. JONAH
A. God chose Jonah to preach to Nineveh. But, what happened? Read Jonah 3.
7. MARY
A. God chose Mary to be Jesus's mother Matthew 1: 18-25
8. THE APOSTLES
A. Jesus chose His apostles. Matthew 4: 19-20
9. PHILIP, A PREACHER
A. Acts 8: 34-40 - He, Philip, was always busy doing the Lord's work.
B. Romans 10: 15 - We se the result of his preaching
10. TIMOTHY
A. Paul encouraged Timothy to preach - 2 Timothy 1: 3-7
We can see there is no unemplyment in the Kingdom of Christ. There are many earthly jobs we can have or aspire to. But, there is no work greater than dedicating our life to God!
