Many years ago Bro AW Dicus wrote a beautiful song that has become a classic.  The idea for the sermon this morning is a sermon written by Bro Irvin Himmel based on that song.  I'm grateful to both of these men..
1)  WHAT SHOULD A SPIRITUAL SONG BE?
     A.  Clear and scriptural in meaning.  Also, have a strong appeal to the heart and be a song that all can sing.
2)  "THERE IS BEYOND THE AZURE BLUE, A GOD, CONCEALED FROM HUMAN SIGHT..."
         A.  Beyond the blue firmament-there is a heavenly realm. We can't get there with a spaceship. Only God can open the door of heaven Rev 4:1
         B.  He is invisible to our eyes - 1 Tim 1:17, John1:18; 1 John 4: 12,20 John 4:24, Lk 24:39
3)  "HE TINTED SKIES WITH HEAV'NLY HUE AND FAMED THE WORLDS WITH HIS GREAT MIGHT..."
         A.  For every effect there is a cause (house, builder; book,author, etc)
         B.  God framed the worlds - Heb 11:3; Gen 1:1; Psa 50:10; 24:1; Job 38:4
4)  " THERE WAS, A LONG LONG TIME AGO, A GOD WHOSE VOICE THE PROPHETS HEARD..."
         A.  Moses spoke, and God answered him with a voice Ex 19: 16-19,
         B.  "I heard the voice of the Lord..." Isa 6:8
         C.  "and the Lord said unto me" Jer 1:9
         D.  "I heard..as the voice of the Almighty...." Eze 1:24
5)  " HE IS THE GOD THAT WE SHOULD KNOW. WHO SPEAKS FROM HIS INSPIRED WORD"
         A.  God still speaks Heb 1: 1-2
         B.  To hear God, we must hear the scriptures 2 Tim 3: 16-17; Rev 1:11; 2:7
6)  " SECURE, IS LIFE FROM MORTAL MIND, GOD HOLDS THE GERM WITHIN HIS HAND..."
         A.  God is the source of life - Gen 1
         B.  He grants life and preserves the spirit Job 10:12
         C. "with thee is the fountain of life."  Psa 36:9
         D.  God gave reproductive power to His Creatures Gen 1:28
7)  " THO' MEN MAY SEARCH, THEY CANNOT FIND, FOR GOD ALONE DOES UNDERSTAND."
         A.  Mortal man is limited in what he can know
         B.  There is much more to life than the biological aspect - mortal man can never find the real meaning of life without revelation.  It's more than physical existence - Luke 12:15; 1 Tim 5:6; John 10:10
8)  "  OUR GOD, WHOSE SON UPON A TREE, A LIFE WAS WILLING THERE TO GIVE..."
         A.  God makes known His love in His gift John 3: 16; 1 John 4:9; Rom 5:8
         B.  The Son gave His life - Acts 10:39
9)  "  THAT HE FROM SIN MIGHT SET MAN FREE, AND EVERMORE WITH HIM COULD LIVE."
         A.  Object of Christ's death: ransom for sin 1 Tim 2: 5,6; Rom 5:10
         B.  God offers man eternal life - Rom 6:23
10)"  THERE IS A GOD"
